The Watergarden is part of the Camphill movement, a worldwide organisation for  improving the  wellbeing of individuals with special needs. Thomastown, Co.Kilkenny, Ireland is where you can find the Watergarden, tucked away from the busy main street. It is an idyllic place, a small stream gurgles through the gardens and courtyards. It is a community supported workplace, a café and workshops employ people, providing excellent food and a picturesque environ. The walled garden at the back of the Watergarden was developed into a kitchen garden over the five years I was its custodian. The community café had a need for fresh herbs and salads, and the community supported the development of the derelict garden into a place of peace and harmony in this busling little town.
